- Day Two -
A House You Built Yourself
The house has undergone some minor changes since I have had sims actually living in it, but for the most part it's the same house.. and it's the house I've been the most proud of completing. A lot of dedication and love got poured into it, which is not usually what I do when building stuff.
I'm a very, very poor builder; decorating, perhaps a slight bit better, but I'm still not amazing. But despite that, this house not only embodies someplace I'd like to live myself, but it fits that family to a T. Simple, unsophisticated, country, cozy: a home.
And, though there are many really neat rooms I've proud of in the actual house, they aren't my favorite part. These, below, are my favorite part.
Heck, not even my Sim-Photography is that great, but looking at photos of my family warm my heart.
I'm SUCH a huge freaking sentimentalist. ;D
I am going to be uploading this house at some point veryvery soon (I seem to be getting a lot of requests for it lately), so if you're one of the folks that want it, keep an eye here or on the post linked above. Til then...
DFTBA!

I looooove that house. So much. WILL DEFINITELY SNAG.
I'll make sure to let you know when I get around to uploading it! I'll probably put it on mediashare; I really don't trust the Exchange anymore. -_-
How the heck do you get those great family photos? Especially the first and second ones (Brad and family, hand holding.).
Cuz the second one is pretty easy, I'll explain it first: I just had Brad and Alesha do the "hold hands" romantic social and then had Mere zoom really close into their hands as they joined.
The first one is a bit complicated; Alesha is doing the "Snuggle" interaction on Margo, but what BRAD is doing is one of the pose files you can access with a mod that just came out recently, called the Pose Player:

Basically it allows you access to ALL the animations in the game, including the 'posing' ones that sims do in the CAS family portraits. Brad is doing one of those in that picture. ^^
I'm starting to LOVE doing family portraits... Brad and Alesha's house is gonna be full of them by the time they're old and gray!
DFTBA...lol. I love it though!
And...I love this house so much! Oh my god it's so Twimbrook. I can't do country cottage, it's just not in me. But you pull it off so well. You've got your own individual style with everything Kaleeko. :)
DFTBA = Don't forget to be awesome! ^^ Because no one ever should!
It definitely is very Twinbrook-y, or Riverview-y. Country/rural/cozy. Too bad I don't have the patience to redo the whole town to fit. ;D
Thanks, Jen! I never thought of myself having my own style before, but I guess I do!
