Tumbletumbletumble

Back when Blogger was down for more than 24 hours (and rolled back a ton of comments, and lost people some really important drafts they were working on--ohmanIamsosorrystillJennifer <3), I gave in and made one of those 'Tumblr' things. Considering I already have this blog I didn't really need it, but ya know. I wanted it. So there! ;D

Check it out!
http://kaleekalo.tumblr.com/

I'll be using it for all sorts of things, but teaser screenshots from upcoming posts, WIPs, and random fun Kane screenshots have already made their way onto it--so if that's the sort of thing you'd be interested in seeing, check it out!

As for what'll happen to *this* blog... I think in the next week or so I'm going to give it a bit of a makeover, and then use it more for longer, and possibly more RL related things--which means it might start collecting dust, and/or might not be too interesting to any of you. I'll probably still post some Sims stuff on here too, but only really the stuff I feel like I need comments on; tumblr is comment free, which is pretty refreshing.

I really don't mind; I also like the way tumblr doesn't make me feel guilty for posting 20+ things a day, and not including filler text. I don't know why, but Blogger makes me feel like I have to write... probably from spending a year staring at this box every time I'm working on a Desperate Sim's post. ;)

PS: I've also  been using Twitter a ridonkulous amount lately, so if you've got one... Add meh! :D

*hugs* to you missy. :) I'm not going to dwell on it. I'm moving on but yeah, it was a major blow.

Tumbler is a cool new thing! I noticed there aren't any comments. And what are you talking about - if you want to post some pics or whatever just post them. It's your blog!

Have fun with the makeover. ;)

I still don't get tumblr. I is finally getting twitter and you've seen me there. Twitter can be interesting when you find the right people to follow. I think I need a second twitter persona, one for the Sims stuff. The one I have is for me. :)

As for this blog, I'll still be watching it. My first blog was a rl personal one, it has never bothered me if people comment or not. It's for me, that anyone else *ever* reads it is a bit stunning. The RL blog doesn't even have a single official follower - it predates so many of the current widgets. LOL

Hey, Jen, check your drafts again. I had a post that I'd put into the blog reappear as a draft two days after they said posts were sorted and the post was still up.

@Jennifer: Well, at least we'll be more careful backing up our writing, eh? I've started leaving copies of the html in notepad until they're posted--and I didn't even lose anything!

Tumblr's a bit strange but I'm enjoying using it--it's almost like a twitterized version of blogging. And, I know I can use this blog for anything I want, but tumblr's more suited for sharing single things at a time; this is better for en masse.

I'll pry still use both; it's handy having various places for various things. Well... for me at least--I'm an accountaholic, hah!

@PiB: Tumblr's more about posting snippets then anything else; people post quotes and share images and reblog little memes that they enjoy. It's honestly like a social tumbleweed... Though mostly, what people post are images. Works great as a place to stash screenshots and photos and drawing sketches!

Hahaha--I get what you mean about your RL blog. I honestly don't even expect much of anyone to comment here, it's kind of a place I reserved to rant when I need to and rejoice when I have no where else to. More of a personal journal than a blog, I guess. ;D

What is this Nonsense?!

This here be a blog for the writer of Desperate Sims to talk about things not-so-story related. Real life, writing, other Simmy stuff, yada yada. If you're confused... Sorry! D;
