30 Day Sim Challenge: Day 21 & 22

Since I've fallen quite a bit behind on the 'do one a day' I swore to myself I was going to do (just to prove I was capable... guess that fell through!), I'll be doing two today...

- Day Twenty One -
Something that happened/could happen that made you quit without saving
Before I'd officially set Amelia's relationship to 'steady' status (they were still Romantic Interests, I wasn't sure if they were ready to be an item yet), I moved Junior Notorious into the hood, and SP was *insistent* that he and Amelia start dating. Even after I restarted the save, it happened *AGAIN*...
I'm sorry, Junior, but she really ain't your type. XD
In the end I just fixed everything with Master Controller, but seriously... W. TF.

The most scandalous thing you’ve done with Sims
No, being gay is not scandalous. It never SHOULD be scandalous. The whole idea of it being something other than normal is totally preposterous--and given the fact I've made no secret about my own sexual interests, clearly adding a Lesbian couple to my story was anything but 'scandalous'--at least, to me.
For a lot of people, though, it is. Not only did I hook them up, I wrote a very drawn out story of a girl in love with her best friend since High School, and then about a girl who's been abused and mislead by men and ends up falling into those best friend's arms for a last hope at love. Their story isn't a clean cut "happy ever after" love-affair. It's still awkward, it'll always be awkward, and to me, THAT'S the scandal. It's a relationship that had no business working out, and yet somehow it manages to teeter-totter along on the edge of a blade, waiting for one little push to shove it into disarray.
Still, the most scandalous thing I've done with them is made them wait until today for their first Woohoo--and got some really sexy shots of it that no one will ever see because society has a problem with nudity. So, I guess, if anything, getting some nude shots of my les-girls getting it on is pretty scandalous. XD

Glad you like that hairstyle, too--that's the one she'll be sporting next Season when I make my switch to CC... Should've changed Naomi for that shot too, but I was lazy. XD
Desperate Sims'll be updated sometime today or tomorrow--I hit a bit of a writer's block this last week so I'm running a bit behind on posting, but I just finished organizing all my screenshots for next post, after I'm done with RL-foo I'll be off to writing!

Amelia and Junior? That's hilarious. I must say, Junior has excellent genetics. He gave me cute Notorious-Tomasi babies in a game (Ripley Tomasi). I can see Amelia with him, too. But, I can see Amelia with a lot of sims. I'm not sure why that is when I can't see Naomi with anyone but Amelia. I definitely can't see Naomi with a male.

Hahahaha!!! You hooked Junior up with Ripley, huh?! That is... hilarious. And yet perfect, at the same time. Love it. ^^ I agree, he does have good genetics--if it weren't for the mohawk, I think I'd find him pretty cute.
You're *so* right about Amelia, though--she's... kind of a floozy. Even SP (in nearly everyone's game, it looks like) seems to think that she's got no problem hooking up with a ton of sims, male and female, and... well... she has. XD Pre-vampire incident, at least. Honestly, if it weren't for that, she probably wouldn'tve stuck with Naomi as long as she has--but Naomi is definitely lesbian, and definitely monogomous.
I just love their expressions in that screenshot--they're so perfect. ^^

I like Junior's mohawk. I don't know why but it works. Rip's and Junior's first child was a girl. His hair and her looks. She's an evil witch, too. I luvs her.
Amelia isn't a floozy! She's just a romantic who has read too many chick lit books. :P
Don't get me wrong, the mohawk totally suits Junior to a T--I'm just not really into mohawks, much. ^^ It's totally perfect for his character, though, I couldn't see him with anything else.
Ripley, evil witch. Teehee. ^^ I adore her, too. I miss seeing her and other Tomasi spawn! *sniff*
Well... Amelia may not quite be a floozy, but she's pretty airheaded, sometimes. ;) Not that she has commitment issues, just that she gets bored and she wants to experience life, so she kind of threw herself around a lot. Jerod was her first real "connection", and now, it's tough to say if she's staying with Naomi out of real love or fear of another Jerod. I'll be totally honest, I haven't quite figured that out yet--she is a *really* hard character to piece together, sometimes.
But yes--she is a romantic who watches way too many chick flicks. They've really gone to her brain. XD The big sap!
Heh, the Notorious/Tomasi spawn is an evil witch. Her name is Sommer. Boy, is she a handful.
The characters that are hard to pin down can be the most satisfying. Peel that onion back and find another new layer. Damn, you're putting me in the mood to write.

I gotta get Junior and throw him in a few games, see what he gets up to. I agree about mohawks in general - it suits him but it's not a hair style I'd use normally.
The pic of your les girls getting it on is very sexy indeed. Naomi has had to be very patient to get the girl of her dreams.
I don't think anyone who started this 30 day challenge has managed to do one a day. I kind of gave it up...everyone else doing it does cute illustrations.
Oh--*facepalm*. Totally read that wrong. That's what I get for multi-tasking. Sommor sounds awesome, though--and if you really are feeling in the mood to write... *eyebrowwaggle!* Do eeeet! Writing is a wonderful, satisfying, delicious drug!
I *totally* agree with you--I love layered characters! Amelia just is... frustrating, at times. She likes to play rodeo with my heart. :P
Is she a grass-is-greener gal? Hmm... That's tough, but I would pry have to say yes. She's a perfectionist, so nothing is ever really good enough for her. She can be *way* too particular--but I don't think she's blind or stupid enough to let a good thing go when she has it.

Naomi had to be *seriously* patient--both she and Amelia have had the "Woohoo with A/N" wish promised for ages, and I just now got around to fulfilling it. Buuuttt, it makes sense for them. Amelia's a wuss and Naomi would wait an eternity for her. (Have to wonder what Naomi sees in her, eh? XD)
Awww, PiB. <3 I noticed you'd stopped--it'd be cool to see your answers, so if you don't wanna do images maybe you can write it all out as a 'list' instead of one-a-day? Up to you--we were all just doing images along with them since that's why it was a "challenge" instead of a questionaire. :)
Depression is a life stomper. Gotta take advantage of the times I've got it hogtied with my lasso of truth. :P
PiB? Keep doing the challenge. Little illustrations, while nice, are not necessary. I'm curious what you like and don't like. Hell, if I were doing it there would be no illustrations, extreme randomness and too many swear words. Go, go, go and keep posting!
Kaleeko, do you consider perfectionism a flaw?
Naomi is sort of stunning when she's made up her mind. Waiting an eternity, letting Mia do whatever. Including dating someone who definitely wasn't the best option. Glad they did want to woohoo.
Did the challenge initially state images? I didn't notice that bit.
Chrysame, perfectionism can be a flaw. I know some people who have never finished their degree because they can't finish their thesis. They write and rewrite, calculate and recalculate the same parts over and over.
It can be good but it can be something that just is taken too far.
@Chrysame: Awww--I know what you mean, sweetheart. <3 Just make sure you dance when it's not holding you down. Life's too short to let it eat ya alive. (I know how hard it is, though, otherwise I'd probably take me own advice. ;D)
Is perfectionism a flaw? Mmm. Yes and no. It's good in a lot of ways, but can be very detrimental to relationships. It can make you expect way too much out of others and out of yourself--It made Amelia a killer guitarist, but almost killed her relationship with her dad.

The challenge didn't specifically state images anywhere because it was made for tumblr, and that's how most of the 1-a-day memes on tumblr are. I just started doing it here on my blog because I didn't have a tumblr--though I do now. Got seriously bored while Blogger was down. XD
