Nooshta, Zahnoo!

Pretty sure I've heard my Sims say that at some point or another.

In any case, haven't updated this blog in a bit for a variety of reasons; been working overtime getting this season of Desperate Sims finished, been trying (and failing) to get the house spring-cleaned, been stressing over the fact that I had to renew my Visitor's Visa...

... which is TERRIBLY ironic, because the day after I turn in the freaking paperwork, my friends ask if I want to go down to the States to go to a concert in three weeks. Which means, if I go, that's $70 bucks down the toilet. Oh, fate, how thou curses me!

So anways, I guess not a LOT else has been going on. Doing the "procrastination dance" on all the artwork I have to do--an anniversary picture for my husband's BFF, artwork for my guild's website, this thing I meant to do for Christmas for my friend--and doing a buttload of writing. You don't even want to know how many posts are in Draft on my Desperate Sims blog.

Which is great, actually. Once Season Five is done, I am turning those puppies to auto-post and I am taking a holiday from writing in order to a) do the stuff I NEED to do, and b) get as far ahead into Season Six as I can. I already have the thing outlined, so at least I know where it's headed. And it is going to be pure awesome. Because I said so.

I also have all the screenshots I need to finish off this Season, which means once I get the brainpower to sit down and finish those off, I am home-free for probably 1-2 weeks. That's a solid amount of time for a break.

I haven't a clue when SILC is going to be gearing up, but it appears like it'll be soon-ish, so I've also got that to start planning for and fitting into my schedule. ("What are you talking about Kaleeko, you haven't a job or a social life--so... no schedule.") Shoosh, Evil Me!

Which reminds me, I made this little PNG as my profile thingie for the Mods page on the SILC site:

Nothing to promote how much I love literature more than misspelling and over-using adjectives! Oh yeah, baby. (At least I finally ended up with a Simself that looks sorta like me. Sat in windowed mode with several pictures of myself for like half an hour trying to get it right. :P )

Anyways... Now that I've thoroughly rambled the Internet Ether's ear off, I'm gonna go find some chocolate.

cute little PNG. :) I've never done a Simself and never plan to. Yours is cute.

Glad that this season is nearly done. It's been quite a ride.

I've made a couple Sim-selves over time, but they never look quite right. Not pale enough and missing my chipmunk smile, I guess!

It's been a ride, indeed. :) I keep getting the feeling that each Season is getting more and more dramatic--good in some ways, because it means I'm focusing more on storytelling and not just narrating everything that happens, but also means there's never a dull moment where my Sims can just relax.

Gonna have to find a way to work in some happy-times into next Season. ^^

Ah well, at least you are succeeding in keeping the audience anticipating what may be next. I think I'm failing at that.

You're doing fine, PiB! Just remember to keep building suspense and drop small hints to where things are headed, and maybe even throw in some red herrings here and there to keep peeps guessing. I mean, ya got me why Jerod's suddenly got this new coworker, and what's him and Sinbad coming to talk to him about... ;) Just keep doin' stuff like that.

*trots on over* I really have to work on my impulse to click any link anyone ever posts.

That's such a cute Simself! Like PiB, I've never done one, and I don't know if I will as I fail at creating sims on purpose. The randomizer button is my friend.

I love how dramatic Desperate Sims is, myself. And PiB, I think you're doing great at building story suspense!

Hehehe! ^^ I know, I'm the same way. I see a link and I'm like, "Must... click... it!"

I really, reaaaally hate making Sims. That's part of the reason why I ask for people to donate sims for my hood rather than just make them myself. But, it didn't turn out half bad! It definitely looks a lot like me from the profile view--I just can't get the rest right.

I'm glad you like the drama. :D I suck at doing 'happy fun times' stuff. What can I say, I'm an evil overlord of my Sims. :P

And yeah. Keep beating it into her! PiB, you're doing great! *beats with a foam mallet!*

I'm the kind of person who likes reading both equally. You did have some happy fun times, like the wedding, but it IS inspired by Desperate Housewives so we all know how much drama that entails. And the drama is what keeps it interesting.

Isn't being an evil overlord what Sims is all about?

I can't believe this season is almost over! :( You've done such a wonderful job of this season Kaleeko. Hey, all the seasons have been truly awesome! But you already know that don't-cha honey. :D

Gosh do I have plans for Part 4 of The Drifter. I just haven't got the time to execute it atm, which is really annoying. Bit by bit I guess is the only way I'm doing things these days. lol

Love your profile thingy too. Your so good at those.

I can't believe it either, Jen! The end has gone by really quick, but it's nice, because I have so much planned for my next part, as well, so I'm excited to get started on it.

*blush* Awww, thanks... I'm pretty proud of it, especially with how much work I've put into it, but it's one thing to tell myself that and quite another to hear it from someone else. *more blush!*

Ooooooooooh. Part 4! *dance* I'm so excited. I really miss your posts, so it rocks to hear that you're still planning ahead and wanting to work on stuff. Someday, you'll get the time you need to do it!

Hides head from foam mallet.

Ok, ok, maybe I'm wrong. :)

What is this Nonsense?!

This here be a blog for the writer of Desperate Sims to talk about things not-so-story related. Real life, writing, other Simmy stuff, yada yada. If you're confused... Sorry! D;
