The 10 Day Meme: Day Two

>> Monday, January 10, 2011

Whew; so, this is harder than I thought. The questions are very simple, but the more I think about them, and the more that I read answers that others have written off the same questions, the more I realize that we're all very, very similar--not because we're the same kind of people, but because we're people. Being human really is a 'condition'.

I mean...
We all want to be accepted by someone.
We all have 'two sides' to us; a light and a dark.
We all have reasons to love each other and hate each other.
We all have done something wrong towards someone else.

While part of who we are is a combination of all the traits we have, I think I'm going to try to focus on finding ones that are more unique to just 'me' that I'll talk about--because in the end, it's not really me I'm talking about if it's something obvious; it'll just be me talking about humanity.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Day One: Ten things you want to say to ten different people right now.
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
Day Five: Six things you wish you’d never done.
Day Six: Five people who mean a lot(in no order whatsoever).
Day Seven: Four turn offs.
Day Eight: Three turn ons.
Day Nine: Two smileys that describe your life right now.
Day Ten: One confession.

Day Two
Nine things about yourself.

(Man. This one is going to be hard, especially because it's so vague. But, here's a stab at it!)

1. I am absolutely mortified of getting my driver's license, so I will probably never get one. I'm clumsy, unobservant, and I handle stressful situations poorly; I don't ever want anyone to trust me behind the wheel.

2. My dream career would be to work on String Theory with Brian Greene. Unfortunately, while I'm smart, I'm not that smart--but I still savor all his books with a passion.

3. I am a closeted (I haven't quite 'come out' yet, but I keep thinking about it) member of Nerdfighteria. If you don't know what a Nerdfighter is, you should probably click on this link.

4. If there is only one thing I could eat for the rest of my life, I'm pretty sure it would be chinese fried rice. If I could only drink one beverage, it'd be Arizona Green Tea. I am disgustingly addicted to both.

5. On my left arm, right above the crook of my elbow, there are two freckles about half a centimeter apart from each other. It's one of my favorite things about my body; I like it so much that on most drawings I've done of women, I've put those two freckles on them too.

6. I grind and clench my teeth so hard when I sleep that not only do I wake up with a migraine, most of my dreams involve very brutal methods of ripping out my teeth or jaw. It's safe to say I'm terrified of dentists.

7. I hate Glenn Beck. I hate Glenn Beck so much that if I ever saw him in person, I would probably punch him in the face without hesitation. Few things on this planet would make me happier than to see him with a black eye.

8. I've had an anxiety disorder for about ten years; in elementary school I pulled out most of my hair (including my eyelashes), and to this day still have a lot of nervous, self-destructive habits that I master just to have replaced by new ones. It's very frustrating.

9. I care far, far more about other people than I do about myself. My life sucks a great deal because of it, but I don't think I even really care. I'd rather pour my energy into making other people being happy than actually be happy myself.

Very brave posting this stuff. I had a hard time with the ten things you don't think others will know about you on facebook.

Haha--yeah, it's not easy... But a bit easier knowing that most people I know will probably never see this. Still, there's something really satisfying about getting it out there, regardless. Acting like someone I'm not in front of most of the people I know is a serious pain in the arse. XD

Kaleeko, I am surprised to here this. I can already see that you are a very caring person towards others but I also see you as confident too. I think you should give yourself more credit. ;)

Don't worry too much about driving. I cannot drive a manual car to save my life. Thank the lord for automatic! lol

The freckle thing is cute. I think that's a nice touch that you add it onto your paintings. Will you be showing us one of those wonderful paintings any day soon? ;)

Well, it's easy to be confident when not face-to-face. I've always been an incredibly shy person... The internet's sort of given me this place I actually can be myself without having to be worried about looking terribly stupid. I'm not very timid around people I know pretty well, but, my confidence level dips considerably when I'm talking instead of typing!

I'm hugely lucky that I live in the middle of town, and don't NEED to drive. I take one taxi ride a month for grocery staples, and for everything else I walk. Keeps me in shape (sort of), helps the environment, and helps us save money! ^^

One of these days I'll compile a bunch of the pictures that has the freckle thing on them so you can see. I browsed my dA account and there's about 5-10ish floating around in there that have it, but they're fairly old and crappy drawings now!
